Citizen Times Feature

Wow !! The November 7th, 2015 edition of the Asheville Citizen-Times had a special feature in their Home section on RiverDance. Along with a host of beautiful pictures they did a great job at capturing the special feeling that is RiverDance.

"RiverDance is a cliffside Arts and Crafts-style bed and breakfast near Hot Springs, in Madison County. With a down-home, woodsy feel, it is adorned with wood floors and antiques from Western North Carolina artists. Its most remarkable feature is its wooden back porch outside a light-filled great room that overlooks the mountains and a U-shaped riverbend hundreds of feet below, as well as an outdoor hot tub overlooking the gorge. The three-story B and B has two guest suites". To see more of the article download the RiverDance article

A Sketch and a Prayer - One of the great joys of running a Bed and Breakfast is the incredible variety of people we get to share our lives with for a time. We have had people from all over the world, most recently from Jerusalem, Isreal come visit us. We had the opportunity last year to meet Mike and Rhi Wurman from Asheville. Both are accomplished artists, and great guest inn keepers. Mike was starting out on a new project where each year he is hiking one of four sections of the Appalachian Trail and documenting each hike with a book filled with his amazing sketches and, up close and personal descriptions of life on the trail. You may have seen advertising for the new movie "A Walk In The Woods" based on a book by Bill Bryson. I've seen it, read the book and can tell you truthfully that if you want to get intimate view of what real life on the AT is all about you have to read Mike's book.

Our Story

Our journey to the breathtaking mountains of the Carolina's began over a decade ago, and it is a dream come true. It was time to get away from the cold and fast pace of the Mid-West and create our year round Timber Frame home. We live in RiverDance full-time and are looking forward to having you as our guest. The idea from the start was to share RiverDance with others who want to venture out and explore all that Western North Carolina has to offer.
